NEW TECHNOLOGY FOR CORAFOAM®HD & CORALIGHT®
17.12.2024
December 2024 marks a new milestone for the DUNA-Group along the path of continuous technological innovation and sustainability of company processes with the installation, at the Modena Headquarters, of a latest-generation cutting line dedicated to high-density foams from 80 to 600 kg/m3 such as the CORAFOAM® HD and CORALIGHT® ranges.
Thanks to this new important investment, DUNA-Corradini can ensure even better cutting quality, increased productivity of +70%, speed with batch 1 planning and energy savings of -30% compared to more traditional technologies.
Always committed to scientific and technological research, DUNA-Corradini has successfully tested, just before the Christmas holidays, the installation of a new cutting line of the latest generation at the Headquarters in Modena, dedicated to the processing of high-density PUR and PIR boards under the CORAFOAM® HD and CORALIGHT® brands from 80 to 600 kg/m3.
This important investment optimizes the production cycle, eliminating manual handling and increasing productivity by +70% with a significant improvement in the level of service to our Customers.
Furthermore, the new line was conceived and designed considering as priorities also aspects such as the improvement of the ergonomics of the workstations and the reduction of the environmental impact of the entire cycle with an energy consumption that is thus reduced by -30% compared to more traditional technologies.
An investment aimed not only at product and process excellence but also at the well-being of the operators in the department and in line with the broader “SFRIDO ZERO” project, the set of initiatives and actions with which DUNA has been pursuing the progressive reduction of the environmental footprint of its products and company processes since 2015.
«The orientation towards increasingly efficient and sustainable production processes represents one of the most important challenges of doing business today. At DUNA, we have always put our technical expertise and innovative tension at the service of our Customers, developing excellent, efficient solutions with a reduced environmental impact” intervenes Guido Campolongo, CTO of the DUNA Group and specifies “The new cutting line dedicated to high densities just tested represents another milestone towards the continuous improvement of products and company processes, with the aim of responding in an even more targeted manner to the needs of Customers and Collaborators whose workstations have significantly improved from an ergonomic point of view in line with the continuous growth in volumes that with this further investment we intend to support in the years to come”. LOVE IT!
